The Grasshopper and the Ants

I'm sure you all know this story right? If you don't then all I can say is that you had a sad and deprived childhood cos this is one of those classic fables that you should have read or heard of when u were sucking your mumma's titties for milk or playing with ur own faeces hahaha ok la....if you don't then here is the original version:

In a field one summer's day a Grasshopper was hopping about, chirping and singing to its heart's content. An Ant passed by, bearing along with great toil an ear of corn he was taking to the nest.

"Why not come and chat with me," said the Grasshopper, "instead of toiling and moiling in that way?"

"I am helping to lay up food for the winter," said the Ant, "and recommend you to do the same."

"Why bother about winter?" said the Grasshopper; we have got plenty of food at present." But the Ant went on its way and continued its toil. When the winter came the Grasshopper had no food and found itself dying of hunger, while it saw the ants distributing every day corn and grain from the stores they had collected in the summer. Then the Grasshopper knew:

It is best to prepare for the days of necessity.

Ok..so now you know....simply said, the n00b grasshopper finally died lying in his own pile of belalang taik and juice....but in the Disney version he did not...damn....Now this is the twisted version forwarded to me by my colleague, I've read other similar versions on India and America now this is the Malaysian version:

The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and laying up supplies for the winter. The Grasshopper thinks the Ant's a fool and laughs & dances & plays the summer away. Come winter, the shivering Grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the Ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving. TV1, TV2 & TV3 show up to provide pictures of the shivering Grasshopper next to a video of the Ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. The majority of the Malaysian Parliment are stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this poor Grasshopper allowed suffering so? Khairy stages a demonstration in front of the Ant's house . Nazri goes on a fast along with other Grasshoppers demanding that Grasshoppers be relocated to warmer climates during winter. Most of the related people criticizes the Malaysia Government for not upholding the fundamental rights of the Grasshopper. The local news paper & the Internet is flooded with online petitions seeking support to the Grasshopper (many promising Heaven and Everlasting Peace for prompt support as against the wrath of God for non-compliance) . Deputy minister immediately passes a law preventing Ants from working hard in the heat so as to bring about equality of poverty among Ants and Grasshoppers. Hishammudin makes 'More Special Reservation ' for Grasshoppers in Educational Institutions & in Government Services. The Ant; fined for failing to comply with 30% sharing and having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes; its home is confiscated by the Government and handed over to the Grasshopper in a ceremony covered by maju ---------. Prime Minister announces to the whole Malaysia that this is part of the NEP and all have to respect, no question ask and have to follow it. Many years later... The Ant has since migrated to the US and set up a multi-billion dollar company. 100s of Grasshoppers still die of starvation despite reservation somewhere in Malaysia Because of losing lot of hard working Ants and feeding the Grasshoppers, Malaysia is still a developing country!!! All bcos the ANTS are still doing their work .

So do you want to be an ant or a lazy grasshopper? Do you still need your invisible crutch grasshopper? I think if one day we cannot tahan already...this might happen to you...

Ambil kau...fresh meat!!!~~

Podori where are you???

Some background on what this post is about...

Korea's Police Agency Plans to Install GPS in All Cell Phones

It was a case which sent shockwaves across the nation.
Especially for parents with young children.
Christmas Day, 2007, two young girls aged 10 and 8 disappeared from their neighborhoodin Anyang city, Gyeonggi Province.
Three months later the body of at least one girl was found in a nearby mountain and pieces of the other girl's bodyin a nearby lake.
The brutal murder was committed by a neighborwho lived some 130-meters from their homes.
Investigations are ongoing with more charges from past cases involving the murderer coming to light.
And with it, the nation's police are being scrutinized for incompetence.
In responseon Wednesday the National Police Agency announced its plan to install GPS or Global Positioning System on ALL cell phones nationally while introducing Radio Frequency Identification Tags.
Under the current law, the police do not have access to phone GPS' and they say this law needs to be revised.
Only 20-percent of the nation's mobile phone users have GPS installed making it difficult for the police to track the location of people while they are being abducted.
Experts say the plan will have to overcome issues like cost, which falls directly onto customers and invasion of privacy.
Radio Frequency Identification Tags are devices that can be attached to a bag or clothes and give out personal information via high frequency to sensors.
This is being marketed as an additional safety tool for parents of children who are out without supervision.
The location and an imagery taken by a camera device inside the tag keeps track of the child communicating directly with the parent's cell phone.
The idea comes from Japan, where the system is being tested at two of Yokohama's elementary schools due to the country's experiences with child kidnapping cases.
Whether the new devices work or notparents are impatient with the systemwanting assurances and direction on how to keep their family safe in an increasingly unsafe world.

Buckethead mania

I'm currently really into Buckethead right now...I knew that he was really good...didn't know that he was actually very very good hahaha...He plays avant-garde, progressive metal, funk and electronica. There might be more genres that he play but for now this is what I know and what I've heard...He's not so showy like Steve Vai or Satriani or ____ (your choice of guitarist here) but he is God-like in his playing...

Enuff talk...here's da proof...

It is the day we go out and vote...vote for a change...vote for a difference...It is fair time we try and change this fucking lame, crippled, fractured and corrupted system. So besides voting what else can you do to help? Of course give money la....

I don't have a lot of money but I did my part...any amount, big or small, will go a long way in helping fund Jeff Ooi's cause...He needed RM100,000 from the rakyat..but now he has around RM113,000...but hey...why stop now? More money=Helping other rockets fly off to the moon :D
